I'm Mariah Joy

So glad you are here!

Let me introduce myself! I'm Mariah but some people call me Joy because the of the business name, and I will go by either!  I have a deep passion for all things wedding planning, from organizing and designing, to executing and directing, I love it all!! In my time away from planning you will find me spending time with my family and friends, getting sucked into a good book, spending time outside, baking fresh goods, having fun with crafts and volunteering at my church! 

I started planning and coordinating weddings in 2021 just for fun, and then turned it into a business in 2022. Since I was a little girl I have loved weddings, to the point where I would coordinate my barbie dolls' weddings. 'The Wedding Planner' hit the screens and quickly became my favorite movie. I was introduced to the wedding industry when I started working as a florist. I noticed a need in Western North Carolina for someone who had a passion for helping brides have an amazing wedding day.

 

My favorite thing about being a wedding planner is the moment the bride is walking down the aisle. In that  moment I get to be there standing in the back watching the joy on her face, after all the planning, organizing and preparation she is finally getting married to the love of her life. Walking through this process with them and being right by their side brings a smile to my face and joy in my heart.

 

I look forward to having this experience with you on your special day. I am located in Brevard North Carolina and I am serving brides locally and brides in the surrounding area!

FUN  facts

1. I am originally from Williamston, MI (if you know where that is I will be impressed)

2. I started this business at age 21!

3. I am for sure a travel girly!  Always down to go on an adventure!

4. My  favorite type of food is Italian, give me all the noodles!!!

5. I call myself "multipurpose tool" because I can seriously do about anything, well not everything, but a lot! Hair, photography, change my oil, do nails, florals, write, design, know sign language, and the list goes on!

6. I am one of four kids, and I am the oldest!

7.  I am of course a true red head!

8. I mentor 8th grade girls at my church!

9. Tea girly through and through!
